Forecast discussion, Sat., Sept. 9, morning Today's Update
Background ozone levels are low again today. A line of storms moved through Houston last night and have made their way inland. There are scattered cumulus clouds but I expect clouds to increase with time due to the synoptic southeasterly flow. Winds at the surface are light and from the north east but should shift and become southeasterly during the day. Scattered storms are likely along the coast and east Texas. Dallas has high clouds moving into the area, however, most of the shower activity should remain east of there. Max temperature Upper 80s Quick Look at Tomorrow Tomorrow looks a lot like today with a chance for precipitation along the coast and east Texas. Multi-Day Outlook Winds for the next several days will remain southeasterly, advecting moisture into Texas. This will lead to scattered thunderstorms throughout the area. Storms along a defined sea breeze front are more likely as well due to the increase moisture. Forecaster Stephanie Naumann
